The FUOYE Innovation Hub recently hosted LearnTech 2.0, attracting students, staff and tech enthusiasts for a knowledge-sharing session on productivity and emotional intelligence. The event aimed to strengthen innovation and technological skills across the university community.
In his opening remarks, Prof O. S. Ayanda, Director of Innovation and Digital Technology, described the platform as vital for equipping participants with the skills to drive technological advancement. He praised Vice-Chancellor Prof Abayomi Sunday Fasina for his unwavering support of innovation initiatives.
Dr Bamigboye Oluwaseun Tosin delivered a session on “Time Hacking for Innovators,” stressing strategic time management, prioritisation, and overcoming procrastination. She noted, “Productivity is not about doing more, it is about doing what truly matters.”
Dr Adaramoye Toyin Olanike followed with “Emotional Intelligence: The Human Engine Driving Innovation,” highlighting mindset, confidence, and trust as critical to fostering creativity and collaboration in the digital era.
The event emphasised the interplay between technical competence and emotional awareness as essential for sustainable innovation.
