Lisabi Grammar School Old Students’ Association (LIGSOSA) has elected new global executives to lead the body for the next two years.
At a swearing-in ceremony held on Saturday at the school’s CBN Hall in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Engineer Kayode Adeniji emerged as Global President. At the same time, Dr Kayode Akinsola was named 2nd Vice President. Other officers were also inaugurated to form the new executive council.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Elijah Ola Adediwura, urged the new leadership to prioritise accountability and transparency in managing the association’s affairs. He said their performance would set the tone for the future of the organisation.
In his handover remarks, outgoing president Alhaji Taofik Ogunremi Lawal highlighted projects executed during his tenure, including the construction of boys’ and girls’ hostels, the re-establishment of a school clinic, and the mobilisation of more alumni sets into the association.
The school administrator, Mrs Titilope Odutayo, outlined pressing development needs such as the provision of an e-library, renovation of ageing infrastructure, and the construction of a new hostel. She appealed to alumni for continued financial and moral support.
Lisabi Grammar School, established in Abeokuta, is one of Ogun State’s oldest secondary schools.
