Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN) has congratulated its alumnus, Abdulkareem Maude, on his appointment as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Kano State.
Maude, who has also been named among the latest lawyers to be conferred with the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), will be formally decorated at the Supreme Court on Monday.
In a statement, the university’s founder and President, Prof Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, described Maude as a diligent lawyer whose achievements exemplify MAAUN’s values of excellence and integrity.
He noted that the recognition from both Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Supreme Court proved Maude’s impact in the legal profession.
The institution further said Maude’s career achievements serve as a source of pride to the MAAUN community and a motivation for current students and graduates.
It reaffirmed its commitment to producing professionals who make meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s development.
