Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, founder of the MAAUN Group of Universities, has donated a fully equipped two-storey building and N10 million to the Alliance Française Kano to enhance its operations and sustainability.
The ultramodern facility, unveiled in Kano by the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Marc Fonbaustier, features classrooms, digital language labs, multimedia studios, a digital library, conference halls, smart learning boards, and high-speed internet. Located at Ahmadiyya Junction along Airport Road, it is now among the most advanced French language and cultural centres in Northern Nigeria.
Gwarzo described the donation as part of his commitment to promoting education, bilingual learning, and cultural exchange, adding that it would give students access to world-class French language training.
The French Ambassador lauded the philanthropic gesture and prayed for God’s blessings on Gwarzo. At the same time, the Director of Alliance Française Kano, Ali Dabo, expressed gratitude, noting that the donation provides a permanent, dignified home after more than a decade of operating from rented facilities.
