The rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Arc Dr Koye Jolaoso, has urged students to report any academic challenges they encounter through the appropriate channels for prompt attention.
Dr Jolaoso conducted an unscheduled visit to several lecture halls, where he assessed the progress of lectures and students’ engagement in academic activities.
Addressing students, he said their primary responsibility was to focus on their studies and strive for excellence in their chosen fields. He added that members of staff were available to support students’ legitimate academic needs, describing their role as in loco parentis.
The rector also reminded students to familiarise themselves with the institution’s approved academic calendar. He said the academic board had endorsed the first-semester calendar for the 2025/2026 session, which took effect from Monday, 27 October 2025.
Students were further advised to complete their course registration by Friday, 5 December 2025, to avoid disruptions to their studies.
The visit, according to the polytechnic, was part of management’s efforts to maintain academic standards and ensure that teaching and learning activities proceed as scheduled.
