The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) calls on the federal government (FG) to take proper measures against the ongoing industrial action.
In a statement, Comrade Olushola Oladoja, NANS President, stated that the success achieved in the education sector under President Tinubu’s governance will be lost if the strike is not called off.
He admonished the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to meet and discuss their differences.
Highlighting the positive changes in education under President Tinubu, Oladoja emphasised zero interruption of two academic years and the establishment of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
As part of the federal government’s effort to improve students’ welfare, the NELFUND reopened its portal between October 12 and 14 to allow more verifications.
