Joshua Ocheja has shared his life-changing 12-year experience at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) postgraduate school, where he earned a PhD in Military History. He began his journey in 2014 with a Master’s degree in Conflict, Security, and Development. His childhood love for the military pushed him to pursue a Master’s and then a doctorate in Military History.
Ocheja described the NDA as a place that builds discipline, confidence, and deep academic knowledge. He said the military setting helped him grow mentally and academically. According to him, NDA’s tough academic calendar, original research focus, and high-quality mentorship had a significant impact on his life. He added that NDA is not a regular school but a special place for serious minds. He advised anyone privileged to study at the NDA to value the experience, calling it a badge of honour and a significant key to national growth.
