The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has commenced the disbursement of April 2025 upkeep allowances to eligible students nationwide.
In a statement released by the Director of Strategic Communications, Mrs Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the agency confirmed that while many payments have already been processed successfully, some students may experience temporary delays. The delays are attributed to a recent upgrade of NELFUND’s payment and application processing system.
According to the statement, the system upgrade is intended to enhance security and improve the efficiency of future disbursements. NELFUND assured students that it is working closely with relevant stakeholders to resolve the issues promptly and ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive their allowances without further delay.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, operational efficiency, and timely student support, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration.
