Alliance Française, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) and language institute, has organised the 2025 edition of ‘La Journée du Droit (The Legal Day), featuring a quiz competition for four schools in Port Harcourt.
Mrs Marina Lacal, the Director of Alliance Française Port Harcourt, expressed that the event is meant to educate and promote the French Language.
She added that the quiz is an avenue for the students to better learn legal rules and civic matters in Nigeria.
To further expand language studies in the country, the federal government has set up a policy to teach sign language in basic schools.
