Mohammed Umaru Bago, Niger State Governor and visitor to the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, has said that the university will be repositioned to meet global standards.
The governor emphasised that his administration will restore the institution’s Endowment Fund Board of Trustees to improve sustainable growth and funding.
He said these through Alhaji Sirajo Sa’id, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, who represented him at the two-day retreat for members of the Sixth Governing Council of the University.
Prof. Mohammed Hadi Sulaiman, the vice chancellor, expressed appreciation to the governor for the continued support of the university. He added that the retreat is a big step toward strengthening the institution’s governance and growth.
