Nine PAP Scholars Graduate from UK Universities

Dr. Dennis Otuaro, Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP)

The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has celebrated the graduation of nine postgraduate scholarship recipients from UK universities, with Administrator Dr Dennis Otuaro praising President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the Niger Delta.

The scholars completed master’s programmes in cybersecurity, data science, law, construction, civil engineering management, project management, and ICT at Anglia Ruskin University, University of Dundee, and the University of Law.

They are the first cohort of beneficiaries of the offshore postgraduate scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic session under PAP.

Otuaro commended the graduates for completing their programmes on schedule, noting that their success validates the federal government’s investment in human capital development. He urged other scholarship beneficiaries to remain focused on their studies.

The PAP scholarship scheme has placed 7,700 students in Nigeria in under two years, including 162 postgraduate students in targeted UK programmes.

Otuaro emphasised the scheme’s alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to expand access to higher education for indigent Niger Delta students and promote sustainable socio-economic development in the region.
