Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has disclosed that its partnership with the Renewed Hope Initiative has enabled the training of 1 million Nigerians.
The agency added that the trainees include 320 women who just concluded the Women ICT Training Empowerment Programme.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2024 cohort, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady and national chairman of the initiative, felicitated with the graduates and urged them to embrace their small beginnings and use their skills to build a digital future. She added that similar ICT Training programmes will be organised for the wives of executives.
Kashifu Inuwa, NITDA Director General, emphasised that the programme syncs with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, especially in human capital development, digital inclusivity, and economic diversification.
