NUC accreditation panel on assessment visit to Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai
The National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation panel has rounded off its assessment visit to Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Nasarawa State.
While visiting, Prof. Samaila Mande, the Team Lead of the Abdulkadir Kure Senate Chamber, highlighted that the accreditation was intended to improve the quality of and ensure global competitiveness of Nigerian universities.
Mande said, “We are partners in progress. This University is our own, and we are here to support growth and excellence. There is no witch-hunting in accreditation; only a collective push towards achieving the best.”
He assured the university that its recommendations will be prioritised, as it has the potential to become a leading hub for management and entrepreneurial research.
Prof. Mohammed Hadi Sulaiman, the vice chancellor, represented by Prof. Salihu Mohammed Niworu, the deputy vice chancellor (Administration), appreciated the NUC team for conducting the accreditation with professionalism, fairness, and commitment to quality.
