NUC delegation attended HAQAA3 workshop in Accra, Ghana
Members of the National Universities Commission (NUC) have attended the Harmonisation, Accreditation and Quality Assurance in African Higher Education (HAQAA3), a 4-day workshop in Accra, Ghana.
The workshop, which featured representatives from other African countries, including Senegal, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Niger, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, Kenya, Mauritania, and Tunisia, was organised to improve the quality assurance culture.
At the event, Dr Joseph Nte Bisong, Deputy Director of the NUC’s Academic Planning and Head of the Resource and Strategic Planning Division, received the HAQAA3 Grant Award.
While addressing reporters, Bisong said, “In all humility, I consider it an uncommon privilege to have represented the Commission and indeed Nigeria at an international event of such a magnitude.”
He appreciated Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), as well as other officials, for their support.
