Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, DG of NYSC, addressing corps members
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has warned corps members to refrain from misusing social media.
Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the Director General of NYSC, sounded the warning while addressing 2025 Batch C corps members at the Delta State Orientation Camp, Issele-Uku.
The DG noted that any corps member found making negative posts on social media will be sanctioned, hence encouraging them to create content that will promote the scheme’s and Nigeria’s image positively.
Warning about unauthorised travelling, he said, “Follow simple instructions, be obedient, go for your biometrics, and go for your Community Development Service.”
He added, “Learn and respect the cultural values of your host communities and do not misrepresent us at your place of primary assignment.”
