High Chief Barr. C.A. Anyanwu (Standing), at the 10th anniversary celebration of Nzukọ Ụmụnne Community of FUOYE
The Nzukọ Ụmụnne Community of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, has celebrated its 10th anniversary.
The anniversary also featured the donation of a ₦60 million commuter bus project to support members of the Igbo community on the campus.
Prof. Sunday Abayomi Fasina, the Vice-Chancellor (VC), represented by Prof. Babatunde Afolabi, the dean of the faculty of management sciences, appreciated the contributions of the university’s pioneer staff and Prof. Chinedu Nebo, the pioneer Vice-Chancellor.
Associate Professor Osmond Agu, the Chairman of Nzukọ Ụmụnne FUOYE, applauded the community members for upholding cultural bonding, unity, and mutual support.
The chairman added that the group has always prioritised community service, welfare, and institutional growth.
He described the anniversary as a moment to reflect on and renew their commitment, advising the members to avoid distractions that can limit progress.
