The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) in Nasarawa State has pledged closer collaboration with the National Productivity Centre (NPC) to promote value addition and industrial growth in the state.
During a courtesy visit to the NPC office in Lafia, RMRDC State Coordinator, Yakubu Alaku, said the meeting was aimed at strengthening partnership and seeking support for the forthcoming Investment Summit on Value Addition in Sesame Oil Production.
Alaku commended the NPC for providing productivity training to RMRDC staff, describing it as a step toward improving efficiency and innovation. “We are here to deepen our partnership and explore new ways to boost productivity, especially as we prepare for our sesame oil value addition summit,” he said.
Responding, NPC Director, Mrs Imosun Mojisola, praised the RMRDC for its proactive initiatives and expressed the Centre’s readiness to collaborate on the summit. “The focus on sesame oil value addition aligns with our goal of driving sustainable productivity in key sectors,” she said.
Both agencies agreed to sustain their partnership to promote the development of local raw materials and enhance economic diversification in Nasarawa State.
