The Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Scholarship Initiative Committee in Zamfara has spent ₦216 million on the payment of 2,055 less-privileged students’ and orphans’ first-year school fees.
In his remarks at a news briefing on Sunday, July 20, 2025, Alhaji Ibrahim Danmalikin-Gidangoga, Chairman of the Publicity Sub-Committee, stated that the scholarship committee would sponsor all student beneficiaries until they graduate from their respective institutions. The chairman noted that the beneficiaries were selected from the 14 local governments of Zamfara.
According to him, the students are “studying various courses at 19 public and private tertiary institutions across the North-West states.”
