Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc, a member of Standard Bank Group, has announced the opening of applications for its 2025 University Scholarship Programme, with a N160 million investment earmarked for 200 outstanding students.

According to a statement, each beneficiary will receive full tuition support as well as N800,000 in a dedicated trust fund to aid long-term financial stability during their academic journey.

Now in its seventh year, the initiative has awarded scholarships to 590 undergraduates since its inception in 2019.

Meanwhile, applicants must be Nigerian citizens who sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and secured admission into a Nigerian university.

Selection will be based on UTME scores, academic performance, and leadership potential, while ensuring gender balance and coverage across disciplines nationwide.

Acting Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Holdings, Mr. Kunle Adedeji, described education as a catalyst for national transformation. “We are not simply funding tuition—we’re investing in Nigeria’s future leaders, innovators, and change-makers,” he said.

The Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Bank, Mr. Wole Adeniyi, added, “Education is the bedrock of progress, and empowering young minds is essential to Nigeria’s growth.”
