The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has again been rated as the top university in Nigeria. This is according to the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. Released on October 9, 2025, the rankings placed UNILAG and the University of Ibadan jointly in the 801–1000 band globally, out of over 2,100 institutions assessed worldwide.
