Insecurity Affects the Education Sector
The education sector has experienced insecurity in Niger and other states, prompting calls for stakeholders to intervene and protect children’s future. A study commissioned by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) revealed that the education system in Zamfara, Katsina, and Niger States is affected by insurgency, student and teacher displacement, learning disruption, and infrastructure destruction.
