ExcelMind, an education technology company, has advised Nigerian schools to start using digital tools because they will help them save money and also improve students’ learning.
The company explained that a digital classroom is not just about modern teaching methods; it also helps schools cut down expenses, attract more students, and run things more smoothly.
According to their research, schools that utilise full digital platforms save approximately ₦3.2 million annually by reducing paperwork, automating fee payments, and streamlining administration. One school in Abuja even reduced its running costs by 45% after switching to digital systems for attendance and payment.
ExcelMind also said that schools using digital tools see an increase of about 23% in student enrolment, because many parents believe technology shows a school is offering quality education.
According to the firm, transitioning to digital can reduce a school’s operating costs by up to 60%. With the money saved, schools can train teachers better and improve facilities, which will help students learn more effectively across the country.
