UI Muslim Alumni Graduates First Mentorship Class

The Forerunner Welfare Foundation (FWF), a group of University of Ibadan Muslim alumni, has graduated 57 trainees from its pioneering mentorship programme, Next Gen-Ideate (NGI).

The graduation ceremony took place at the Professor Musa Abdul Civic Centre, located within the University of Ibadan, and was attended by alumni, professionals, and scholars.

FWF Chief Moderator, Engr. Tunde Ganiyu Husein said the programme is designed to guide young people on how to thrive in society, stressing that practical application of learned skills is key to professional growth.

The Board of Trustees Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Hammed, said mentorship should not stop at one stage but continue, so that those being guided today can also guide others tomorrow. He explained that NGI is an important platform for empowering young people, reducing job market struggles, and helping graduates add value to national development.

The foundation also hopes that this first group will inspire more young Nigerians to look for guidance, build strong networks, and achieve success through mentorship.
