UNIBEN wins the 2025 CFA Society Nigeria Universities Ethics Challenge
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), Edo State, has won the 2025 CFA Society Nigeria Universities Ethics Challenge sponsored by First Bank.
Following this achievement, the bank reaffirmed its commitment to championing ethical standards among the young people.
In his remarks, Olayinka Ijabiyi, the Acting Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at First Bank, mentioned that the bank considers ethics as the foundation of long-term institutional stability and corporate governance.
In addition, he said, “Ethics is the anchor of corporate governance, and without good corporate governance, you do not have good institutions.”
Ijabiyi noted that the bank views the challenge as an opportunity to reach future business leaders.
He explained that when young people understand the foundation of ethics, they become ambassadors who can apply their knowledge to real-life cases.
