The University of Lagos (UNILAG) will hold the Grand Finale of the Professor Ogundipe Innovative Challenge (POIC 3.0) on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., at the Nurudeen Alao Auditorium, Distance Learning Institute.
Themed “Empowering Thinkers: Science for a Sustainable Future,” the event showcases students’ creativity and problem-solving skills as they address real-world challenges. POIC 3.0 provides a platform for students to present innovative solutions with the potential to impact sustainable development.
Distinguished guests include Chief Host Prof. Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG; Prof. Ganiyu Oyetibo, Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences; Special Guest of Honour, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Chairman Mr Lekan Ajisafe, MD/CEO, Post Assurance Brokers; and Keynote Speaker Dr Olajide Abiodun Babatunde, Special Adviser to the governor on e-GIS and Urban Development.
Finalists, after months of ideation and screening, will present and defend their projects before an audience of academics, students, and industry stakeholders. The event will highlight the ingenuity, creativity and problem-solving capacity of young minds.
The University community and the public are invited to witness the transformative power of student-driven innovation.
