UNILORIN Honours Gov Lawal of Zamfara State with Award of Excellence
On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Kwara State, has conferred an Award of Excellence on Dr Dauda Lawal, the Governor of Zamfara State.
Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, who received the award on behalf of the governor, appreciated the university, highlighting that the recognition will encourage the governor to intensify all his positive efforts.
The institution awarded him in recognition of his exceptional leadership, commitment to public service, and impact in driving national development.
According to a university citation, Lawal models principled leadership, and his actions reflect the values of excellence, integrity, and service to humanity.
It added that the governor’s transformation in education, economic revitalisation, and governance matches the university’s vision of building leaders dedicated to nation-building, knowledge, and character.
