Mr. Tijani Adekola Adewoyin, Chairman of NUJ, UNILORIN Chapel
Mr Tijani Adekola Adewoyin, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Chapel, Kwara State, has encouraged members of the institution’s chapter of the Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ) to uphold the journalism code of conduct in their duties.
The chairman described journalism as the fourth estate of the realm, contributing primarily to society through information, education, and entertainment.
He advised members to maintain balance and accuracy in their reporting, adding that they should pursue professional qualifications after their first degree and avoid activities that could hinder their academic programmes.
During the address, Miss Waleeyah Ayomide Ambali, the President of the UCJ, announced that UNILORIN UCJ will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026.
