A 300-level student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Chrisantus Chukwuebuka Nwankwo, popularly known as DJ Brownlex, has died in a fatal accident while travelling to attend singer Davido’s concert in Enugu on Saturday night.
Nwankwo, a student of the Department of Economics, was among several students aboard a commercial bus that reportedly left the park late without functioning headlights. The vehicle allegedly collided with a parked trailer along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.
Reports indicate that both the driver and DJ Brownlex died instantly, while other passengers sustained severe injuries and are currently receiving treatment at Shanahan Hospital, Nsukka.
The tragic incident has thrown the UNN community into mourning, with tributes pouring in for the late student, described by friends as a talented DJ and vibrant personality on campus.
