Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has called for meaningful partnerships to champion Africa’s participation in adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI).
She expressed this at the university’s fifth International Week, themed ‘Equitable Partnerships and the Future of AI in Africa.”
According to her, Africa must start contributing to AI and apply the opportunities it presents in the education sector.
Ogunsola added that UNILAG is committed to contributing to AI innovation.
The university has now partnered with OpenAI, making it the first African institution to establish an OpenAI Academy.
