Wema Bank has organised Hackaholics 6.0 for over 3,000 undergraduates in Ondo, Kaduna, Oyo, and Lagos.
The event brought together entrepreneurs and innovators from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), the University of Ibadan (UI), and Purple Academy from across the four states.
Through the event, the students worked on real-world problems and provided solutions to them through ideation, mentorship, and industry-led masterclasses.
Moruf Oseni, MD/CEO of Wema Bank Plc, described Hackaholics as more than just technology but an avenue to empower young people to think, create, and solve differently.
Hackaholics run for four days in each solution, where students ideated, were mentored, and pitched.
Following this, three ideathon-winning teams emerged from each location and have been invited to compete at the Hackaholics 6.0 Grand Finale.
