Yaba College of Technology’s (YABATECH) Girls’ Education and Skills Partnership (GESP) has received praise from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Generation Unlimited.
GESP received the commendation during both organisations’ delegation visit led by Mr. Kevin Frey, the Chief Executive Officer of Generation Unlimited, to YABATECH.
Frey said, “These young women are not just learners; they are innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders in the making. Their resilience shows that investing in girls is one of the smartest investments any society can make.”
Mr. Adekunle Adams, YABATECH’s Deputy Registrar, Centre for Communication, Information and Public Relations, revealed that the organisations also pledged to train one million more girls across Nigeria.
