136 Doctors, Dentists from UI Get Inducted by MDCN

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has inducted 136 new medical doctors and dental surgeons from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (UI). The inductees comprise 111 medical doctors who earned the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and 25 dentists who obtained the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).The induction ceremony, held at the Ibadan Civic Centre, Agodi Gate, was attended by dignitaries, including the UI Pro-Chancellor, Chief Bisi Akande; the Provost of the College, Prof Temitope Ogundiran and UI Vice-Chancellor, Prof Kayode Adebowale.The MDCN Registrar, Dr Fatima Kyari, congratulated the new doctors and charged them to uphold the ethics of the profession while serving with integrity, compassion, and respect. She urged them to remain in Nigeria and contribute to strengthening the healthcare system.Adebowale, in his address, reminded the graduands that medicine is a sacred trust requiring empathy and ethical conduct. He encouraged them to be ambassadors of excellence and uphold the “Ibadan brand” in their professional practice.
