Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has endorsed Governor Uba Sani’s administration, describing Kaduna State’s inclusive governance model as an example for Nigeria’s democratic future. The university’s management, led by the Vice Chancellor, gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the governor at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.
ABU praised Kaduna’s achievements in education, agriculture, transportation, and citizen-focused governance, noting that the administration is giving every resident a sense of belonging regardless of background or religion. The team also lauded security improvements, saying Kaduna has become safer for learning, investment, and community life.
The Vice Chancellor noted that the university was ready to partner with the state in a bid to expand education, skills development, and social welfare. Responding, Governor Sani reaffirmed his commitment to education, highlighting a 26.14% budget allocation to the sector, new schools, renovated classrooms, and reduced tuition in state-owned institutions. He said Kaduna will continue to support ABU as a “national treasure.”
