Management team of Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, visits Hon. Abiola Makinde
Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, has commended Hon. Abiola Makinde, member representing Ondo East/West Federal Constituency, for his contributions to the institution’s development.
During a visit to the lawmaker’s residence on October 28, 2025, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Bayode Isaiah Popoola, led the University’s management team to express appreciation for Makinde’s role in the institution’s upgrade to a full-fledged university. Popoola described him as a key supporter whose impact is widely acknowledged across Ondo.
In his response, Makinde thanked the University management for the visit and congratulated Popoola on becoming the institution’s first substantive Vice-Chancellor.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the University’s growth and praised past administrators, particularly former Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof Samuel Akintunde, for their roles in securing the upgrade.
He encouraged the institution to improve its internally generated revenue and expand academic programmes to drive development. Makinde also pledged continued legislative support, including backing amendments to bills that benefit the University.
The visit was attended by the principal officers and staff of AFUED.
