COOU New Deputy Vice-Chancellors are Prof. Anselm Nweke, Prof Obiorah Ejiofor and Prof. Sylvia Okonkwo
The Senate of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University has elected three new Deputy Vice-Chancellors during its 143rd plenary session held on Tuesday. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Kate Azuka Omenugha, announced the outcome after the election.
Those elected are Prof Anselm Nweke as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration and Environmental Sustainability; Prof Obiorah Ejiofor as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics; and Prof. Sylvia Okonkwo as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Uli Campus and Development.
Their emergence follows the Senate’s mandate to strengthen administrative efficiency, enhance academic standards, and drive development across the University’s campuses.
The new deputies are expected to support the Vice-Chancellor in implementing key reforms and advancing COOU’s strategic objectives. The appointments take immediate effect.
