The President of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Hajia Zuwairat Talatu Kishimi, has urged newly inducted practitioners to prioritise expertise and excellence in their professional duties.
Speaking at the Orientation and Induction ceremony for the second session of 2026 Mandatory Professional Practitioners Forum (MPPF) in Lagos, Kishimi emphasised that new accountants are now ambassadors of the profession, shaping public perception through quality service delivery.
She reassured participants that ANAN will support them through capacity-building programmes, development platforms, and targeted initiatives to enhance proficiency. “We are investing in your growth,” she stated.
Dr Kayode Olushola Fasua, ANAN’s CEO, encouraged the new practitioners to view their induction as a call to service, stressing adherence to professional standards, continuous development, and credible public practice.
Prof. Abuchi Ogbuju, Chairman of the Practising and Quality Control Committee, added that accountants must consistently demonstrate responsible character and expertise to foster public trust and strengthen the profession’s integrity.
