Tech Policy Press has announced the opening of applications for its 2026 Fellowship Programme, a fully funded, remote, and year-long opportunity that supports independent reporting and analysis on issues at the intersection of technology and democracy.
Launched in 2023, the programme has supported 15 fellows from seven countries, enabling them to explore areas such as AI governance, digital rights, tech regulation, and corporate influence in digital spaces.
The 2026 edition will provide a USD $10,000 stipend to selected Fellows, journalists, researchers, lawyers, and policy experts, who will work part-time as independent contractors from January to December 2026.
Projects funded under the fellowship are expected to examine the societal and political impact of technology, focusing on underreported topics, marginalised voices, and global tech policy concerns. Fellows will receive editorial guidance, mentorship, peer collaboration opportunities, and access to an international professional network.
Applications close on October 15, 2025. Interested candidates must submit a CV, cover letter, and links to published work through the official application portal. Successful applicants will be notified by early December 2025.
