TASUED Freshers’ Lament: Stressful Documentation Process

Newly admitted students of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, have expressed frustration over what they described as a stressful and disorganised documentation process.

During the ongoing registration exercise at the university’s Academic Affairs Division, several freshmen complained of long queues, poor coordination, and a lack of clear communication regarding document requirements.

Some students reported being turned back due to missing or incomplete documents, while others accused some staff members of impatience and unfriendliness during the exercise. In contrast, a few older students commended those who volunteered to assist newcomers.

Responding to the complaints, a senior staff member from the Academic Affairs Division stated that the verification process was designed to protect the institution’s integrity and ensure that only qualified candidates were admitted. The official added that the university was working to improve efficiency and communication in future sessions. The documentation exercise continues ahead of the official commencement of lectures.
