Prof. Adekunle Adeogun has been appointed the acting vice chancellor of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State.
Adeogun began his career in the institution as a Lecturer III in 1999, until he was appointed a professor in 2016.
The Governing Council announced that Adeogun will begin his tenure on November 4, 2025, until the university has a substantive Vice-Chancellor.
In a statement released by Prof. Wole Banjo, the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, said, “The appointment was ratified at a special Council meeting held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.”
Prof. Adisa Bello, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, congratulated the acting Vice-Chancellor and reaffirmed his assurance that the acting Vice-Chancellor would lead well.
