The Concerned Sons and Daughters of Ikoga-Zebbe, a group in Badagry Local Government, Lagos State, has appealed to the state government to lift the ban on the reinstatement of Dr Tony Dansu and the other four officials of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Lagos State University (ASUU-LASU).
While the LASU Governing Council had mentioned on February 23, 2022, that the five officials who were wrongfully dismissed be reinstated, paid all due financial benefits, and awarded all due promotions without losing their seniority and entitlements, the state government is yet to act on it.
In a letter to Mr Babalola Ogala (SAN), the council chairman, the group appealed to the state to reinstate the officials to promote progress at the university and in the community.
The group further appealed to the new governing council chairman to use his office and reputation to exercise justice on the matter, especially for Dansu.
