Bauchi Government Reconfirms Commitment to Basic Education

Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, has restated his administration’s commitment to revitalizing basic education

Senator Bala Mohammend has restated his administration’s commitment to the development of basic education in Bauchi.

He mentioned this on Thursday, Jun. 19, 225, during a working visit to the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) headquarters in Abuja. The commitment and development will primarily be focused on extending education to school-age children and ensuring quality assurance.

Mohammed, who was received by Dr Aisha Garba, Executive Secretary of UBEC, said that nothing will work without basic education. He added that education is the foundation of societal transformation. The governor stated that the state has made a significant contribution to expanding educational opportunities in the region and is one of the states with access to quality education.  He appreciated Garba’s leadership and the impact of UBEC’s work in Bauchi. 

Furthermore, he noted that Bauchi is a key beneficiary of UBEC’s Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) programme. Through the programme, the state has executed diverse projects in basic education, Infrastructure, human capital development, and enrollment.
