The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has certified 235 Nigerians with the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation at its 2025 convocation in Lagos.
CIMA, the world’s largest professional body for management accountants, states that the certification equips professionals with vital skills in accounting, risk management, leadership, and financial analysis. These skills prepare them for senior management roles across industries, the institute said.
Recognised in more than 170 countries, the CGMA qualification also provides holders with access to a global network of finance and business leaders, as well as continuous professional development and career support.
Speaking at the event, CIMA Vice President for Africa, Tariro Mutizwa, praised the candidates for their dedication and commitment to acquiring skills that will strengthen their careers and Nigeria’s finance sector.
