The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA & CIMA) has partnered with Thomas Adewumi University and Landmark University to offer accounting and finance students access to the CGMA Finance Leadership Programme.
The digital, self-paced programme guides students toward completing CIMA’s CGMA Professional Qualification and earning the globally recognised CGMA designation.
Using real-life case simulations, the programme equips students with finance, accounting, business, leadership, people, and digital skills essential for competitive careers.
Ijeoma Anadozie, Associate Director, Nigeria at AICPA & CIMA, said the collaboration will help students gain critical skills that prepare them for sustainable career success.
Students can pursue the CGMA alongside their university studies, building on existing qualifications. Completing the programme and practical experience requirements grants CIMA membership and the prestigious CGMA title, which opens doors to over 170 global job markets.
CIMA recently awarded CGMA certificates to 235 professionals in Nigeria. The body also runs the CGMA Business Leader Challenge, a regional competition for university students, designed to sharpen business acumen, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, while showcasing future finance and business leaders.
