FUHSIMSA emerges 2nd place at the 2025 South West MSAs debate finals
The Department of Entrepreneurship Studies at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) presented the outcomes of its recent seminar and workshop to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha.
Led by Acting Head Dr Jacinta Nwangwu, the delegation highlighted student-developed products, including an anti-dandruff formula, car wash solution, and liquid soap, created during practical training sessions aimed at fostering entrepreneurial skills and self-reliance.
Omenugha inspected the innovations and praised their quality and creativity. She encouraged the department to expand student participation, seek certification opportunities, and explore partnerships with the State House of Assembly to integrate the programme into constituency projects.
The Vice-Chancellor also urged that products be sold at affordable prices to maximise social impact and sustainability, emphasising the University’s guiding philosophy of Values, Viability and Visibility (3Vs).
She assured continued institutional support for initiatives that enhance student entrepreneurship and real-world employability.
