The Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria (CRMI) has condemned the National Assembly’s decision to establish the Chartered Institute of Enterprise Risk Management of Nigeria.
Victor Olannye, CRMI’s Registrar, in a memorandum, said the CRMI already fulfils the core goal of promoting risk management practice. He stressed that establishing the institute will affect CRMI’s integrity and conflict with the 2022 Act.
Recall that the Late Former President Muhammadu Buhari signed the CRMI Bill passed by the National Assembly into law in 2022, giving the institute the power to regulate and manage risk.
