dRPC Gives ₦5m Grant to FCT Schools

The Development Research and Project Centre (dRPC) has given Rising Hope Girls’ Educational Foundation a ₦5 million grant to build digital labs in ten underserved communities in the FCT.

One of the labs has already been opened at Junior Secondary School, Chikakore, Kubwa. It comes with computers, whiteboards, and internet modems to help students connect with modern learning tools.

Speaking at the commissioning, dRPC’s Executive Director, Dr Judith-Ann Walker, represented by Hassan Karofi, said the grant is to support local NGOs as foreign funding continues to drop. She added that the project shows dRPC’s commitment to closing the digital gap in Nigeria’s schools.

Rising Hope’s Project Director, David Ahanor, explained that the labs will not only support learning but also serve as creative hubs where teachers and students can embrace technology and prepare for a digital future.
