The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Federal Polytechnic, Ede, has appealed to the school’s Governing Council to prioritise student welfare in its policies, with the aim of enhancing academic performance.
SUG President Ayanyemi Marvellous made this call during the 2025 Union Day celebration, with the theme “Driving Leadership, Building Legacy, Moving the Future.” He explained that the union has held several meetings with the management on welfare issues and expressed hope that the concerns raised would soon be addressed.
According to him, when students’ needs are adequately met, their morale will be lifted, and this will naturally be reflected in their academic results.
The Union Day event brought together students, staff, and guests to discuss leadership, legacy, and the future of education, with student welfare emerging as a key ingredient for academic success.
