The Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Prof. Babatola Ayodele, has warned newly admitted sandwich degree students for the 2025 contact session to uphold their matriculation oath or face sanctions strictly.
The caution was delivered during the university’s hybrid matriculation ceremony held at the Faculty of Social Sciences Twin Hall, which also included students from EKSU’s affiliated colleges in Kwara, Oyo, and Ondo states.
Represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Williams Adebayo, the Vice-Chancellor reminded the students that matriculation is not a mere formality but an official commitment to discipline and integrity within the university system.
He encouraged them to let the oath guide their behaviour throughout their academic journey. He warned that violations would attract strict penalties. The university management said the warning was necessary to maintain academic excellence, discipline, and the good reputation of EKSU and its affiliated institutions.
