Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State, has emerged 7th in the latest ranking of Nigerian higher institutions conducted by Pole Global Marketing, an international evaluation body that assessed over 180 universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education nationwide.
The ranking highlights the institution’s rising profile and commitment to academic excellence, surpassing several older universities and polytechnics.
The top ten list includes Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, University of Lagos, Sa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi, Bamidele Olumilua University, Ikere-Ekiti, Yobe State University, Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Federal University, Otuoke, Yaba College of Technology, and Federal University, Gashua.
Chairman of the Governing Council, Hon. Yakubu Dati, commended the Rector, Engr. Dr Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed and his management team were recognised for the achievement, describing it as impressive for a young institution.
The Rector attributed the milestone to the dedication of staff, the commitment of students, and stakeholder support, pledging continued focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and STEM education to sustain progress and drive national development.
