Federal Government Partners with Amazon on Free Digital Training

The federal government has launched a nationwide digital skills programme in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for tertiary schools. The partnership will offer free training and certification in cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and related technologies.

In a statement posted on X on Saturday, the Ministry of Education stated that the initiative aims to equip students and educators with globally relevant digital competencies. “Big move for Nigeria’s education. Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, the programme will be rolled out to all federal, state, and private tertiary institutions. The best part? Certification is 100 per cent free, split between the Ministry and AWS. Let us bridge the digital divide, #Skills4All #Education,” the statement reads.. The programme, already live in 43 federal universities and polytechnics, is now expanding to include all state and private tertiary institutions.
